Red Dragon Youth Kung Fu is a martial arts school for children located in northwest Houston Texas. We have 2 schools, one located inside Iron Sports in the Champions Forest area and the second at Chinese Martial Arts, LLC in the Fairbanks Houston area. Both of these locations serve students from the surrounding areas including Cypress, Tomball, Spring, Klein, The Woodlands, Fairfield, and Houston.
Red Dragon Youth Kung Fu is a part of the Wing Chun Kali System and as such we offer a complete curriculum of martial arts that is designed for all children ages 5 through 12.
Sifu Ramon Diaz has over 45 years experience in the martial arts and is a disciple of Joseph Musse the founder of the Wing Chun Kali System. Sifu Ramon and his qualified instructors teach traditional Wing Chun Kung Fu and Filipino Kali to the children in our program.
Wing Chun is a perfect martial arts form for children as it is easy to learn, very practical and it's movements and techniques are based on skill instead of strength or size. Wing Chun was created by a woman and is effective for all ages, sizes, and can be easily adapted to physical limitations.
It has been shown that children who have been exposed to martial arts typically show an improvement in their behavior, listening skills, cooperation, and dedication towards achieving goals, both at school and at home.
Our program offers a very structured learning environment where our children can develop physically, mentally and emotionally. We strive to instill good values in our students in an exciting and fun, encouraging environment where they learn courtesy and respect for their teachers, their fellow students and themselves. The Red Dragon Kids Kung Fu program challenges each student to improve their self control and self discipline. Our exercises and drills help improve their concentration and focus and the all important listening skills. Each child is taught the physical and mental skills to help give them confidence and self respect.
Our program is a great opportunity for each child to learn how to work towards goals, work as a part of a team, and of course make new friends. Physically our students will develop balance, improve coordination, get a great work out in a fun filled environment!
We teach children how to avoid dangerous or threatening situations, how to escape from potential harm, and how to protect themselves if necessary.
Bullying is a big problem in our schools and after school programs. Our goal for our students is for them to understand how to deal with this situation in a calm manner effective manner without resorting to violence.
